There was a time, not too long ago, when I would open my e-mail and dance with utter delight to the missive inside asking, “Ms. Day, where can I buy your books?”
Don’t get me wrong, I still delight to those e-mails! Don’t stop asking! I’m amazed to see them come from all over the globe–Australia, Canada, the UK, Japan. I’m flattered, relieved, and excited to know that someone found my site, read an excerpt, and wants to spend their hard-earned money on my work. I just wish I had an answer that would satisfy both the asker and myself.
I’ve asked my web designer to build me a FAQs page to answer the questions, but she’s a very busy lady these days, I’m not sure when it will be up and running. In the meantime, it’s with part delight and part sheepishness that I respond to the inquiries.
On a personal note:
My friend is bringing over photos of our new puppy tomorrow! I will post one in the message board photo album. The puppy’s in Utah, so we won’t see it until we go to pick it up, but the kids are excited to have something tangible that proves that yes, indeed, there is a puppy destined for our home.
Work continues on my polishing. I’m having fun. After all, writing is not all blood, sweat, and tears, is it?
