Sincerely, Anonymous

Well, rants are flying fast and furious, and I have one! My first, I think. :plain:

It is in my humble opinion that if you have something to say, you should have the [insert whatever you like here] to admit that you’re the one who said it. Rebutting, refuting, complaining, explaining, commenting, whatever and then signing with an alias or, my personal favorite, “Anonymous” (You don’t know who you are? Ask your mom, she’ll tell you!) is just plain chicken sh*t.

Sincerely,
Sylvia Day

[Disclaimer: The view expressed above is the opinion of the author and reflects the viewpoint of the site owner (a good thing since they're one and the same! ;) ) Simply because it is my blog, I can write whatever I like here. If you don't like it or disagree, feel free to comment, as long as your name isn't Anonymous.]

What do you think? Was that a good first rant?

    Whoo Hoo A Rant!! :hehe:

Feel better now that you’ve let it all out?

Exactly, Sylvia! Some of the stupid blogging programs make you sign up, and with Blogspot, I can’t even access the comment panels half the time to leave a comment. It’s annoying.

But anyway, sorry to get all grumpy in your blog. I had an exposed nerve that has been soothed with coffee and deep breaths! :D

    Signed,
    Anonymous :P

Oh, Larissa! :) This is only my opinion. Good or bad, I like to know who wrote the comment. You’re definitely not a craven, heartless person for leaving a nice comment.

I went to a LiveJournal site the other day and couldn’t comment, because it didn’t have any space for my info–except "Anonymous". *scratching my head*

I think it’s just **dumb** that they have it set up like that. I don’t need a LiveJournal, why would I register for one just to say hi?

    Larissa says:

Sigh. I guess I’m a coward and cruel and heartless then. I hadn’t realized that by not signing up for different blog programs (livejournal and bravejournal, for example, make you sign up to leave comments with your name) and letting them log me as anonymous that I was so horribly evil, even if nothing I said was rude or mean. I just didn’t think it was a big deal to leave nice comments without signing "Sincerely, Larissa Ione," when they don’t know who the hell I am anyway!

Right on Sylvia! Cowards. Cruel and heartless people. They can sign their names like this.

    Sincerely,

    Larissa says:

Just to be fair…some blogs programs, if you aren’t signed up as a member, puts you down as anonymous. I’ve left comments in blogs before as anonymous because I didn’t want to take the time to sign up. If it’s the blog of someone I know, I say, "Hey, it’s Larissa," but if I don’t know them, I’m just surfing around, I don’t bother.
