I received my ARC of Alison Kent’s The Bane Affair today!! I was thrilled, of course. I can’t wait to tear into it! I think the cover is fabulous. If you haven’t seen it yet, check my sidebar, you’ll see an image of it there.
I head to the Delta tomorrow morning for the long holiday weekend. I’m excited to get out and hang out in the sun. And I’m glad to be spending the time with my son’s godfather, a man I’ve been friends with for years and who’s like family to me. I’ll still be bringing some books with me, although I doubt I’ll get to read with all the activities that will be going on.
I’m certain I’ll be itching to write most of the time I’m gone, but I’m glad to have the forced hiatus. When I get back I’ll re-read all that I’ve written the last couple of days and catch a bunch of stuff I missed the first several times I re-read it! :rolleyes: LOL I’m down to the last couple of chapters, just wrapping things up. I’m excited and a little sad too. I’ve had such fun with these characters, it will be sad to see them go. Hopefully, I’ll get to explore some of the secondary characters and we’ll get to meet them again.
I’ll be back Monday afternoon, just in time to get a glimpse of the new Brava finalists. I can’t wait to see the entries. It’s been such fun reading them! I’m still hoping to see some historical entries. At least one.
