What really annoys me about "standardizing" Halloween is the fact that my hubby and I got MARRIED on Halloween. I don't want it to be on a different day than the 31st. That's just stupid. Besides, if the reason people want to move it away from Sunday is for religious reasons, then they are completely ignoring the fact that for many religions, Saturday is a day of worship, so wouldn't those who don't want it to fall on Sunday be "forcing" other religions to have such an *gasp* offensive holiday fall on their religious day? Criminy. Just leave it alone and let it fall where it may. Fair to everyone. Oh, and maybe actually learning the history behind it wouldn't hurt...:mad: Grr. I heard on the radio that the govn't was thinking of STANDARDIZING Halloween--the fourth saturday of every October. I"m like first the Christians appropriated all the paegan holidays and NOW the freaking government wants in on the act(that's a joke no offense--k). I mean come on! Halloween isn't Halloween if it's not on October 31!! :evil: I bought one bag. Last year we didn't even have any.
