Daylight Savings

Don’t forget to roll your clocks back an hour, ladies and gents!!

I’ve begun trying to use my computer mouse with my left hand. My right appears to be suffering from carpal tunnel or something (and I’m certain I misspelled that.) My right wrist has been nagging at me for a week now, today it final revolted and is actually quite painful. Told you all, I’m writing obsessed. But in the Nov. RWR a writer says it took her about a week (I think) for her to get used to, so I’m going to give it a go. Not that I have any other choice, my entire forearm throbs.

I’m still waiting to get to the editing part of my ms. The last two chapters have been completely rewritten. After I finish this next chapter, I should be able to use the skeleton of what’s already there, if I’m lucky. I’m hoping I am.

My low-carb shoppe closes tomorrow at five o’clock. What am I going to do? It’s so sad. I went in there tonight and the shelves are bare, the freezer is bare, the signs were being taken down as they made my Cookie Craziness. A sad day in the life of Sylvia Day.

Ever the procrastinator, I have yet to purchase candy to give out to trick-or-treaters tomorrow. I’ll have to run out and do that. With the clocks rolling back, it will get darker earlier and the kids will descend on my corner of suburbia en masse. *sigh* Can’t decide if I want to be the one to take the kids out or let hubby do it and I’ll stay home with the candy.

Puppy got his twelve weeks shots today. Handled it like a trooper.

  1. Sorry about the shop closing! It always sucks to lose something you really love like that. Every time we move I lose one shop or restaurant that I just know I’m going to die without. Never fails, and it SUCKS!

Have fun tonight with the trick-or-treaters! Ours was last night. The county voted to do it Saturday because we wouldn’t want Halloween to fall on a SUNDAY, Heaven forbid… (It’s not obvious that I have issues with this, is it? LOL)

  2. Larissa I was going to blog about this because it really ticked me off. I heard on the radio that the govn’t was thinking of STANDARDIZING Halloween–the fourth saturday of every October. I”m like first the Christians appropriated all the paegan holidays and NOW the freaking government wants in on the act(that’s a joke no offense–k). I mean come on! Halloween isn’t Halloween if it’s not on October 31!!

I bought one bag. Last year we didn’t even have any. I should have just planned on shutting the light off cause I’m sick and now MY kids will want the candy (My kids wont be here).

  3. Yum, candy!

Ok, ABout the carpal tunnel. I have it both wrists Sylvia. Have for years, I can show/tell you a few tricks to make them feel better. Look for an email. :)

  4. Grr. What really annoys me about “standardizing” Halloween is the fact that my hubby and I got MARRIED on Halloween. I don’t want it to be on a different day than the 31st. That’s just stupid. Besides, if the reason people want to move it away from Sunday is for religious reasons, then they are completely ignoring the fact that for many religions, Saturday is a day of worship, so wouldn’t those who don’t want it to fall on Sunday be “forcing” other religions to have such an *gasp* offensive holiday fall on their religious day? Criminy. Just leave it alone and let it fall where it may. Fair to everyone. Oh, and maybe actually learning the history behind it wouldn’t hurt…

  5. In my town, there is no school the day after Halloween, no matter what day it falls on. I don’t think the teachers can handle the sugar-laden youngsters.

That means us parents have to.
