Would any of you published authors care to share the story of your first “call”?
All I ever read about when it comes to getting “the call” is, “I got ‘the call’. I freaked out.”
Details, ladies, please…

Don't let a Day pass you by... | Back to Top ▲ | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

I remember little about the phone call other than the offer. I know she was talking, but it might as well have been Charlie Brown’s teacher. Wa, Wa, Wa.
Luckily, she says you can phone her back after you calm down. I was afraid to hang up the phone for fear it would disappear. I had to phone her back the next day because my notes made no sense. I suggest taking her up on the call back offer. You don’t have to wait a day, an hour will do. It’ll be easier to take notes once you phone her back. And those notes are VERY important.

Did you ask your editor that? Or your agent?
