Not all of the authors I mentioned are unpubbed, just the stories, which I think is just as brave, since the published authors are sticking their neck out by writing something they’re not associated with. And I’ll tell you, my conversations with Kate Duffy have been real eye openers. Also, having talked to some of the other contestants, I’ve been surprised at the little things that make a ms unsalable a non-winner. Literally, one sentence, one phrase can do it, which is hard to understand when you’ve poured so much blood, sweat, and tears into the rest of the story.

I haven’t tried the queso fresco, Larissa, but I definitely will next time! I didn’t go last night. Hubby picked up To Go on the way home from work. I’m such a hermit.

I love In ‘n Out Burgers too! Being a low-carber, I order my burgers “Protein-style” which means no bun and lettuce wraped all around. It’s to-die-for yummy and they are some of my favorite burgers! Not like fast food at all. Despite my low-carb lifestyle, I would love the recipe for the fudge-filled cookie bars. Thank you!
