Ya know… Maili wrote a blog post about aspiring writers posting excerpts on their websites.
I noticed, not for the first time, that I have to change the excerpts on my site fairly regularly. Why? Because when I put them up, they’re the best they can be at that time. But a month or so later, I’ll have learned something new and realize that I need to change the excerpt to be written better. This, of course, means that the story as a whole could be written better.
And that is why I’m not published yet. I still have so much to learn.
