I know when (thinking possitive) I get the call I'm gonna go blank LOL so I really do appreciate this. Some of it is stuff I've thought of but getting it first hand is just...priceless

Joely Sue and Steph,
I'm glad you're finding this information useful. As someone new to this business, there were so many questions I had and so many things I wanted to know and I couldn't find the answers anywhere. I'll keep you posted as I go through this whole process. Hopefully, something I share can help you and anyone else who's curious!

Margee,
I absolutely love that idea!! It keeps me motivated.

When I visit Lydia, I spend my time as the "kitchen fairy." Lydia loves to cook (as her recipies show), but she hates to clean up.

We have the same deal you have with your mom: when she makes it rich as a author, she'll build us a house on the lot across the street. Her dad and I will retire and babysit/clean/honey-do for her.

So, all the moms out there say--buy our daughters' books so we can retire and take care of them
