This year, all my Christmas wishes came true.
My contract arrived Christmas Eve, Christmas dinner with my hubby’s family was wonderful as always, and the kids were pleased with everything they received. I asked for nothing in the way of presents this year. Aside from a laptop, which I’ll be buying next month, I didn’t need or want a darn thing. Hubby wanted to get me something anyway so he bought me some flannel pjs. I adore them and I’ve been wearing them all day.
Tomorrow my Mom comes over to celebrate Christmas because she had to work both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. So we’ll get to enjoy the holiday for one more day.
I finished the edits to story #2 just a moment ago. Overall, I’m fairly pleased with the outcome. I’m setting it aside for a week or two while I work on story #3 and then I’ll go back and hopefully catch all the stuff I missed. Maybe it’s because I’m a pantser, but I can write a story in no time at all, but to get it to where I’m happy with it takes me several edits.
I’m hoping that as I become a better writer, I’ll be able to cut down on that editing time.
Since I got the title of the anthology it’s really helped me solidify where I’m going with story #3. I have a few scenes already planned out in my head–dialogue, setting, clothing, time of day. Complete scenes. I’m excited to get to work on it tomorrow. All three stories in the anthology are loosely connected, but they’re nothing alike and I’m very happy about that.
I hope everyone else had a nice, safe, relaxing Christmas. I was thinking about every one of my blog buddies today.
And all of my site visitors. ![]()
