Anyone know how to read German? (At least I think it’s German.) I would love to know what it is Melody said about my blog-design.

I think, Beefcake is more of a compliment, while a Nackenbeisser is macho close to the edge of ridicule *g* but I’m not sure.
Muenster is close to where I come from I am in Düsseldorf and my real name is Carola, but since there were 2 or 3 more carolas back when I started to internet, I chose the nickname and domain ‘Melody’ and have kept it ever since (ten years by now). In 1997 I wrote a romance novel myself, hehe … but it’s just not my genre, I am a technical writer most of the time.

The number of visitors to my site has gone up 40% this month so I’ve been tracking inbound referrals to try to ascertain where they’re coming from. It’s mostly self-referring/bookmarkers, but occasionally something comes up like Melody’s site. And she found my comment because I trackbacked/pinged hers.
Cool, Melody! I’m glad you like the design. We call nackenbeissers “beefcake” here. There are more names but I can’t for the life of me come up with another one. I’m hoping someone else will post more here! (hint hint)
I love your design too, especially the parchment paper background, which is what I requested for my blog, but didn’t get.
Are you in Germany? My father used to live there in Muenster and I visited there for a couple of weeks many years ago. Now he lives in Pisa, Italy. My best friend lives in Vilseck.
Thank you for explaining that for me and nice to meet you!
I wrote that your design matches perfectly what you write about and I like that a lot, but I also always have to giggle about that kind of machoman-picture (in German we say Nackenbeisser, I am not sure about the English term? one of those neck biting cover guys on romance novels).
the rest of that post is about the strange and immediate transformation of my kind husband after I explained about the nackenbeisser thing.
"Sylvia Day is the undisputed mistress of tender, erotic romance. Her books are a luxury every woman deserves."
