Here’s to Captain Phoenix!!

Which Pirates of the Caribbean character are you?
In other, sadder news, Arabella Magazine has officially gone under.
Arabella was actually my first CALL. They offered for a story of mine back in June. The story was never published because they started having financial trouble soon after. Very sad. I know a lot of aspiring authors took heart from Arabella offering to purchase short stories from them.

LOL, Lori.
Congrats on the RTB invite. It looks like a fabulous idea in the making.

They were my first call too. It was April I think and she “loved” the story so much she was going to run it really quickly. (sigh)
We should put together an anthology of sorts of all the sold but unpubblished Arabella short stories.
I hate wasting a good story. (at least I guess it was good…)
Lori
p.s. I just agreed to be a romancing the blog columnist too. We just keep bumping into each other.

I’m so disappointed! I had hoped to submit a story to their publication this year.
*sigh*

Oh good, Marguerite! I think it’s important to find new possibilities in every disappointment. I always try to remember that everything happens for a reason, even if I don’t understand what that reason is right away.

I know Sylvia,
I was saddned last night when I visited the site. But the good news is that the better of the two short stories I wrote will be comming out in A Hint of Sedcution next month so I do have that to look forward to . Plus I think the story I submitted to Arabella would make a better full-length novel anyway .
Fun quiz though, I’ll have to try it
