I just watched King Arthur tonight. It’s my first Clive Owen movie. And Lord, I really like him. Love the eyes and that voice…
Where the heck have I been?
Oh yeah, under my rock…

Ooh, CLOSE MY EYES - a weird little film. Saskia Reeves is in it, IIRC. She and he fall for each other, but there is a little problem - they are siblings. Actually, I find it interesting that, considering the fact that I saw CME nearly 10 years ago, I still can remember it clearly. It must be that good. It was quite steamy, too. The best thing about CME is the riverside house. It’s f. gorgeous. If I was very rich, that is the kind of a Richmond house I’d buy.
No idea about SS. IIRC, it was just two four-part mini series.
Avoid “I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead” and I wasn’t overly crazy about “Bent”. I haven’t seen “Closer” but am DYING to see him in “Sin City”! (I also have his nude role in “Close My Eyes” here but haven’t had time to watch it, LOL!)
And now I’ll have to check out “Chancer” - I don’t know what that is. Whatever happened to “Second Sight”? Did it end with just those two (?) seasons?
He’s also excellent in THE BOURNE IDENTITY, albeit in a very small part. Oh, and I second the recommendation for CROUPIER — I can’t watch that movie and not think of Clive Owen as the next James Bond.
My recs for Clive Owen films: CROUPIER, GOSFORD PARK, GREENFINGERS [the only film that you get to see Owen smiling!], and on a wild guess, [coming soon] SIN CITY.
If you get the chance to rent TV series on DVD: SECOND SIGHT, CHANCER and short serial adverts, THE HIRE in which he is known as The Driver. All can be seen at this site BMW Films.
