Not sure what to make of this.
My son came home from kindergarten with a piece of paper covered in the photocopied heads of his classmates. I had to cut them out so he could glue them in the To: part of his valentines.

Most kids don’t know the names of all their classmates until 3rd grade at the soonest! I always did, though.
But that’s to prevent problems arising from that.
Weirdly, I thought of myself as pretty unpopular startingin 2nd grade, but I probably got the most Valentines. Maybe because everyone figured I’d always give them to every single person (which I did)? Or maybe it’s because they could just remember my name…
I’m many things, but asy to forget isn’t one of them. I always felt wretched for the kids who didn’t get many, so I always hated Valentine’s Day for their sakes. It spoiled the whole thing.
Yeah… weird.
That’s…kind of creepy. *g* When my older was in kindergarten, we were told to leave the TO line blank and the teachers would distribute them. They didn’t want to put pressure on the kids to read to their own names.
