I found a cool laptop-carrying backpack today by Samsonite that has a pull out handle and wheels, so I’m ready to travel wherever I need to go. It was buy-one-get-one-free at Kohl’s so I got two.
My sister is home on leave from the Air Force, so she went with me. We had a good time shopping and eating lunch, and I critiqued a great chapter today. These, unfortunately, were the only highlights in an otherwise aggravating day.
The contest sluts have been glomming my site (hello, the March contest just went up and you’re already posting the answer everywhere?
), my spam from WP is like an avalanche, and I got very little editing done on Catching Caroline. E-mails came in featuring a variety of time-consuming requests for my attention that had absolutely nothing to do with my career. At the end of the day I’m left wondering when the business side of writing took over the creative part. I don’t know, but I don’t like it one bit.

Hi Sylvia. Very new to this. Just got a laptop and your comments about your new rolling packpack/carier interested me. Could you possibly give more info? Couldn’t find at my Kohls. Also interested in yhour comments re: WP. I’ve used it for many years and prefer to Word. I’ve written all my life–for work and for pleasure. But, only recenetly have I thought I might try a book. Do you find that publishers will accept WP? I started with WP 5.1, now have WP8 and just ordered WP Office 12. I like these for handling master docs with subdocuments. The new 12 is because of my new operating system. Do you use these features in your writing? Thanks. Enjoyed your site. Marva
by Marva March 4th, 2005 at 7:20 amHi, Marva. I’m glad you liked the site!
I’m looking up that backpack for you. Hopefully I can find a picture, because it’s perfect for traveling with your laptop.
The WP I was referring to is WordPress, my weblog software. I’m not familiar with WordPerfect at all. I’m a MS Word girl all the way. But one of my cps swears by WP. I’ll post more on the backpack in a bit.
by SylviaMarva,
I’ll keep trying.
by SylviaI’m not having luck finding it, but it’s style #416111067 by Samsonite. Sorry.
