Is it okay to say…

…that I’m tired of waiting for my books to come out? *sigh*

I should have been done with my editing by now, but nooooo… I’m not even half-way there yet. Too many distractions and a case of ADD. And lots of chatting.

Hubby took the day off tomorrow and is taking our son fishing so I’ll have my daughter all to myself. This means I probably won’t get too much work done. Instead, I think we’ll go to the spa and get pedicures. On the way, I’ll stop by the post office and mail off the chat door prizes. That’s work, right? (Say yes. *g*)

Ohhhh, and I have The Phantom of the Opera on rental. That’s work too, right? Research?

  1. Waiting is so hard, isn’t it? It’s the worst thing about this business… Waiting to hear from agents and editors… waiting for contracts and publication dates… The timescales are so long, and even when you try to be philosophical, and accept it as the way publishing works, it still drives you mental, doesn’t it?

I feel your pain, Sylvia… That pedicure sounds like an excellent idea. A bit of lovely self pampering always goes a long way when the business is getting to me.

    Hang in there, girl!

  2. Waiting can be hard. But it won’t be forever.

  3. The editing process can be so frustrating. The rewriting part sucks. Well, it can be an adventure, but right now it’s stressful. I hope that your process gets going faster!

  4. Hang in there and enjoy your day with your daughter.
