I think there's a definite tendency amongst internet-savvy writers/readers to be talking about the same writers over and over again, and be missing out on other huge bestsellers because they don't write a particular type of book or aren't a part of a particualr community. You hear a ton about Jenny Crusie but nothing about Luanne Rice, and they are both huge sellers.

I saw this and thought the same thing. Good thing for Stewart, most people do seem to know her. What a great deal - good for her.

WHAT????

yeah, okay, going to go vomit again, and it has nothing to do with this stomach virus I've got.

Maybe we should go out and buy this chick's books to figure out what she's got that we don't. Or maybe it's just some form of reverse marketting psychology. You know, tell us she makes that kind of money so we buy her books to figure out why so that she can sell enough books to make that kind of money.

Ugh. I have to go lay down now.

Hey, I've never heard of her, either. Ignore Alison. She's been around so long, she knows or has heard of everyone in the biz.
