So I’m trying to forge ahead with my paranormal story because I’m trying out the “one ms at a time” method of writing.
I don’t think I can do it.
I’ve been kinda stuck for a couple of days. So Renee set aside blocks of time today where we just wrote straight through no matter what. In the end, I had to stop. Sure, I was writing pages, but I know my cp, Annette. She’ll read them and tell me they’re filler. What is the conflict in this chapter? What is the goal they’re striving for but don’t meet? :doh:
I don’t know.
Sure I can write another couple chapters, but what’s the point? I’ll end up cutting them out because they’re just filler.
Soooo… as Renee pointed out to me today, I can’t afford to sit here and wait for inspiration to strike. Not with five single titles to write (four in the next 11 months, plus a novella). I’m going to have to get to work on something else until I figure out WTF I’m doing.
It’s frustrating though. I wish I could check them off one by one. 
I actually read recently on a site (I believe Holly Lisle.) where an author gave herself a day to work on whatever she wanted. The rest of the week was dedicated to the manuscript she needed to finish. I think that’s something I may try, since my other book is haunting me at the moment.:whip:

I really admire you for being able to work on several projects at once. I know one or two people who can do this, and it’s quite awesome. But I couldn’t do it. When I’m writing a book, it’s like my alternate life, and I’m either in the real world or in the book. And I can’t maintain more than one alternate world in my head at once.
But that maybe due to age, more than anything… I’ve probably lost far more brain cells than you younger writers!
