I've put my first real ms on the shelf for so many reasons but someday I do want to see if I can get it published. But as you said, its my first and thus my first real love affair with writing a completed ms. I don't think I'm ready to deal with the rejection. It is nervous having someone read your first 'baby.' I've grown so much since my first it's not even funny. Of course, I could take that two ways, 1) The MS totally sucked. 2) I was good, but now I'm MUCH better. Who knows. Sorry to hear about your snail mail woes. I've been blessed.
