Celebrate Romance was fun.
I arrived Friday with mom and kids in tow. Signed in, peaked in the door of the room where the other guests were, and then hightailed it to my room. Scary. I’m shy, and seeing all those people in there scared the crap out of me.
So, we went to dinner in the restaurant instead, and the food was yummy, the company was (of course) superb, and I had a great time.
Saturday, I slept in (on purpose) then took my family back down for breakfast where I ran into some of my sister EC authors perusing the book tables. This made me feel much better instantly. Mom and kiddies went to the indoor pool for the day and I hung out at the conference. The day ended early, around 4 PM, so my family piled into the Suburban and we went to the Queen Mary pier where they have lots of shops and restaurants.
Sunday, the kids went back to the pool with mom. I joined the CR’s for breakfast and the booksigning (where BBA sold out! :yay: Also sold some copies of SEX ON HOLIDAY. :cheer: ) Talked to a bunch of old and new aquaintances. It was relaxing and fun. A very casual conference, which was great. Kind of a mini-vacation for me.
There were some pics taken by the other gals, so when I get those, I’ll post them. I, sadly, never got around to taking my camera out, even though it was always with me.
Now, I’m home working on galleys for ASK FOR IT. These are the worst galleys I’ve yet run across. There are actually whole paragraphs missing. I don’t know how the heck this happened, but the mistakes are both plentiful and massive. So, I’m in the cave, working on them like mad, hoping like hell the errors get fixed.
