Quick breakdown before bed:
I had great fun hanging out with friends.
I successfully practiced workshop avoidance. I didn’t attend even one. *g*
Had a great breakfast with my agent. Met again later in her room and laughed ’til we cried.
Had a fabulous lunch with my adored editor Kate Duffy. Two and a half hours into it, I still didn’t want it to end. She can be so charming.
Had an awesome publisher-sponsored booksigning where I ran out of books in 15 mins. Such a dream come true to do a publisher signing. I loved it.
Met lots of booksellers who said they can’t keep BBA on the shelves. (yay!) Sue Grimshaw said it’s selling hot in Borders stores.
Heard from attendees that BBA was spotted in airport bookstores.
Met lots of readers and reviewers that I’ve chatted with online. They were all wonderful and it was a joy to hang out with them.
Had lots of fun at the Faery Ball:

The food was horrendous. Truly, dreadfully awful. *ugh*
Being a Californian, I didn’t get used to the time change. 1 am there was 10 pm here. I hardly slept at all, even though I tried.
Cabbies in Daytona suck ass. Greedy bastards.
Got the coverflat for my January release from my editor. Yummy.
My room was a stone’s throw away from the shore. We slept with the sliding glass door open so we could listen to the waves. Just gorgeous. I have photos. I’ll post them in the morning.
NY editors went from EC author to EC author at the Book Fair soliciting mss for their houses. Editor business cards and out-of-the-blue requests were plentiful for EC authors.
Simon & Schuster has acquired the subsidiary print rights to 30 EC novellas which will be released with Pocket in 2007 in a series of 10 anthologies. It’s just the beginning.
There’s more, I’m sure. I just can’t think right now. I’ll be back in the morning. ((hugs))

Sorry to hear about the horrible food, nasty cabbies, and lack of sleep. But the rest sounds really awesome! Looks like you had fun at the faery ball - love your dress (from what I can see of it with you standing further back). I’m glad you had fun and just enjoyed yourself. Can’t wait to hear more.
Oh, and welcome back
