As some of you know, I’m an Army veteran. My sister is serving in the Air Force. Her boyfriend also serves, and he’s just been deployed to Iraq. My sister is understandably a wreck, and I’m mad as hell that he’s going at all. (but that’s a rant best kept to myself)
My sister has asked for your prayers and well-wishes to follow Justin as he serves our country overseas.
Thank you.

Halloween 2007

My prayers are with them, both. No fears, Angels are guarding our troops. My husband is active army Lt. Colonel and he’s been deployed twice (total of two and a half years) to Iran and Afghanistan, it’s beyond painful to see them leave. It breaks my heart to see my child sad when her daddy has to leave for undisclosed amounts of time. My heart goes out to all of our military men and women and their loved ones. I will keep my rants to myself on all of this, but suffice it to say, I will be ecstatic when he is able to retire. In the end, I support my husband, and know that he’s doing what he must, what he pledged he’d do, to serve his country, as your sister’s boyfriend is doing the same.
And this is such a terrible time to have to go, too (not that there’s a good time). I’ll keep him and your sister (and his entire family) in my thoughts.
Sorry to hear the news, Sylvia.
My heart goes out to your sister and boyfriend. I’ll be keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.
He’s/They’re in my thoughts. I’m trying to understand why he’s being sent too.
Definitely Justin is in my thoughts and prayers, as is your sister. It’s truly awful that he has to go, but I’m so proud of our troops - I hope they all know how much we support them.
