My trip to NY was the first time that I’d met my editor, Erika Tsang, in person. We were scheduled to meet in Atlanta, but a death in her family just prior to the conference altered her ability to attend. She’s a tiny woman with a sweet smile (and great taste in shoes).

Sorry about the blur.

Note the piles of mss? The galley of PLEASURES OF THE NIGHT is in there.

What a view, eh? Sorry the picture quality sucks. You can see the church that’s across the way. To the left you can see the water tower above a building. NY is a dichotomy of modern and old world, with historic buildings wedged between brand-new ones.
On the widow ledge, you can see even more mss. The ms for HEAT OF THE NIGHT (Nov. 27.) is in that pile.
On the far right, you can see Erika’s magnet collection on the filing cabinet. She’s got some great magnets.

I did not know you took that picture of me, Sylvia! Warn a girl, next time
Oh, and that church is my side view of the famous St Patrick’s Cathedral. I look out for divine inspiration from time to time.

I just figured the picture was blurry because the woman never stops moving. LOL!

Oh, wow, how cool! Thanks for sharing and giving us an “inside” peek into what an editor’s office looks like.

More great pix! Love the one with the manuscripts, and the pretty books. And the view of the city looks amazing. What an awesome job…
