A HEAT WAVE WILL PUSH TEMPERATURES ABOVE 100 DEGREES THIS WEEK IN THE INLAND VALLEYS. WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY WILL BE THE HOTTEST DAYS…WHEN TEMPERATURES COULD REACH 112 DEGREES IN THE WARMEST INLAND VALLEYS AND FOOTHILLS.
AN EXCESSIVE HEAT WATCH MEANS THAT A PROLONGED PERIOD OF HOT WEATHER IS EXPECTED. THE HOT WEATHER WILL CREATE A DANGEROUS SITUATION IN WHICH HEAT ILLNESSES ARE POSSIBLE. DRINK PLENTY OF FLUIDS…STAY IN AN AIR- CONDITIONED ROOM…STAY OUT OF THE SUN…AND CHECK UP ON RELATIVES AND NEIGHBORS.

I’m in Florida and sometimes when I get in the car, the temperature gage is in the 100’s. Couple that with humidity and it sure is not pleasant! I wonder how the heck people manage the theme parks in the summer. I never go until October or November when it is MUCH cooler (and no lines for the rides!).

Oooh, stay hydrated! And remember if you drink gatorade and it TASTES good, you needed the electrolytes! If you’re outside a lot, add salt to your food.
*hugs* I hate heat waves.

Oh geez, please be careful, and don’t stay outside too long. I love summer but in a lot of places it can be dangerous like this. Hang by the pool and stay hydrated. It doesn’t seem right that you can’t be outdoors long in this kind of heat.
Have a fun and safe 4th!
