So… I’m 6 days away from flying out to Dallas.
* I’ve got most of my clothes/jewelry/3 oz. toiletries tossed in my suitcase, but I still need to tidy it all up. When I say “tossed”, I mean it.
* I only take carry-on luggage because I have bad luggage karma. If I check luggage, it’s guaranteed not to end up at the same place I do. This means I have to mail boxes ahead of me to pick up when I get there. I hope to do that tomorrow.
* I need to remember all the baskets, etc. that I’m supposed to be donating books for so that I send/bring along enough books.
* I waited to the last minute to order a gown for the RITA ceremony so it’s not here yet. I have no idea if it will arrive in time and I have no back-up. *sigh*
* Like many authors, I had to make an hour-by-hour schedule of my days in Dallas. It’s really nuts.
* I told hubby that I was flying out on Wed. Turns out I’m leaving Tuesday. This left him scrambling to get Tuesday off. *smacks forehead*
* I’m looking forward to the madness anyway.
It will be good to see my writing friends, editors, and agents again.
Hopefully I’ll remember all the stuff I need to take with me…
Some fun news: PERFECTLY PLUM is going back for a second printing after just 4 weeks. Pretty awesome!

You are very welcome!!! *hugs*
Jessica
Thank you, Jessica!!
Hugs,
Sylvia
Congrats on PERFECTLY PLUM. I’ll see you in Dallas!
Sylvia…this is very important. If you do not get your dress in time…email me and I’ll give you my phone number. There are about 5 or 6 places, VERY close to the convention that you can get to that not only have dresses, but have them out of season so they’re very inexpensive. Let me know!!!
Reading your to-do list and all the items you’ve checked off is making me feel left out since I decided not to go this year. I hope you have a wonderful time and get the chance to enjoy yourself instead of being on major deadline and having to hole up in your room. Enjoy the madness
Btw, I got my copy of Perfectly Plum - thank you! I thumbed through it and got a kick out of the different takes on the magic that is Plum.
