Nutshell post:
By some fabulous stroke of luck, my flights bringing me to Dallas arrived early in both Salt Lake City and Dallas. Shelley Bradley picked me up at the airport and we had a lovely dinner out with her family before heading to her beautiful house. We arrived at the hotel early on Wed. morning and checked in, but had trouble with our room. We were supposed to have a 2-bedroom suite, but the hotel rented out one of the bedrooms.
That was really the only downer to the conference, the rest was great. Everything I could have hoped to gain, I did. (Except the RITA, which went to the fabulous Roxanne St. Claire — who was supposed to share the suite with me, Shelley, and Eileen Rendahl.) I had a fun time and networking-wise it was wonderful. I’m in the airport now, so I’ll go into greater detail later.
Some of the fun news I received at the conference: ASK FOR IT will be re-released in mass market next year and Kensington is gearing up for the release of my mass market SAPPHIRE Trilogy (still to be named) Once I know more — dates, cover art, blurbs, etc. — I will share.
***Update***
Here’s a photo of me, Kate Duffy, and Jill Shalvis on RITA night.

Stacy — I’ve got a post in the works, hope to finish it soon!
Saskia — The dress (after a tense set of back and forth emails) finally arrived at 2 PM Friday afternoon. It fit and was very pretty (will post a photo shortly), so I was hugely relieved!
Mandy — Yes! That’s the book. I’ve been dying for that book, too!
I think I wrote it before its time.

Welcome back, Sylvia! Sounds like you had a great time.
Is the Sapphire series a snippet you used to have on your site ages ago about a royal concubine, or am I confused? Is so, that’s the first of your writing I ever read. I’ve been dying for that book for ages!
