Of a bleak futuristic wasteland. Of a struggle against oppression. And she’s been told she’s a…
MOONGAZER
But what is that? And what is reality? In her dreams, she’s not Skye Brown at all, but Mariah Quinn. In her dreams there’s Dawn, the beautiful yet haunted soldier, and Skye is but the empty shell of a girl he once loved. And there was a betrayal, a great betrayal. Ripped between Dark Siders and club kids, the mundane and the mystic, Skye must discover who she is, what she wants and who wants her. And why. But in the glow of the moon, it’s not always easy to recognize the face in the mirror.

“With her press pass, Amanda Wright lives the perfect female fantasy. She’s allowed into baseball players’ locker rooms with full access to hot pitcher Brad Rogers. Brad is attracted to the beautiful reporter, but he’s leery about the press because he has something to hide. His arm has never completely healed after surgery, and as the daughter of a sports doctor, Amanda realizes it right away but won’t report on the injury. She’s also determined not to give in to her attraction to Brad because she doesn’t want to lose her professional reputation. When rumors of steroid use pop up, loyalties become complicated. HARD AND FAST (4), by Lisa Renee Jones, has heart, passion and very hot sex.†— Romantic Times
“HARD AND FAST just solidifies my opinion of Lisa Renee Jones’ writing ability. She creatively brings to life the wonderful characters of Brad and Amanda. Add in the sleazy persona of Amanda’s sports writing rival and I was enthralled. I love when an author can keep me so focused on their work that I forget everything else. I emphatically recommend reading HARD AND FAST. It is definitely a home run in my book!†- Natasha, Romance Junkies, 5 Blue Ribbons
An innovative ebook featuring two intertwined stories:
Magic: When good witch Brianna James uses her magic and writes a sexy, forbidden love spell on her thirty-first birthday, on the thirty-first day of October during a full moon, and conjures up on roguish, bad boy warlock, she has no idea that she’ll experience a passion so deep and so intense it would forever turn her good girl days into bad girl nights. But, when that spell lands in the wrong hands, be prepared for a little mayhem…
Mayhem: When Abigail Garvey steps into Conjure, the local magic shop, all she’s looking for are a few props to round out her fortune teller Halloween costume. Abby isn’t looking for a love spell that turns her drop-dead gorgeous, but long-oblivious neighbor into an aggressive alpha sex machine. Sure his single-minded pursuit (and follow-through!) is the stuff her wickedest fantasies are made of, but how much of it is the real deal? And how much of it is just a little magical mayhem?
* HarperCollins allows you to pre-order this title. Not sure how it works, but I’m guessing you get emailed the file on Tuesday.
Now, as some of you know from reading PASSION FOR THE GAME, Simon is black-haired, blue-eyed, and about a decade older than the hottie on the cover. Regardless, it works, I think. It catches the eye.
I love that they used the same image as was on the trade paperback. I think this will prevent readers from buying the same book twice (although the trade version of ASK FOR IT is still being restocked a year after release). And my name (written in the same font used to brand all my Brava trade titles) is larger than the title. I LOVE that! *g*
* 7:00 Kensington Breakfast — Yes, 7 AM. It was a killer, but worth it. We all had to sit at various tables, but my table was the best. *g* I had HelenKay, Ann Christopher, Eve Silver, Gemma Bruce, Editor-in-Chief John Scognamiglio, and more. I know there was more. I’m kicking myself mentally that I can’t remember. I had a great omelet called “The Godfather”. I mention it only because it was delicious and unique — Italian sausage, pesto, different cheeses. Yum.
* 11-12 Workshop - The Great Taboo: Professional Jealousy
* 12-2 Passionate Ink luncheon — Fun stuff. I invited my agent, Pamela Harty, and we enjoyed the time together. The dessert was divine. Yummy. I had to run out of the luncheon twice to check on the arrival of my RITA dress. It finally showed up at 2 PM and I immediately ran upstairs to try it on. It fit!! Yay!! However, I must mention that my wonderful, fabulous, beloved editor Kate Duffy said that we would go shopping on Saturday for a dress if the one I ordered didn’t fit or was ugly. (I ordered it online, so it was a gamble.) Thankfully, I didn’t need to impose upon her, but really? Isn’t she wonderful to make the offer?
* 6-8 PM Kensington Party — Loved, loved, loved this! I had a great time hanging with HelenKay (yes, poor dear was stuck with me a lot), Karin Tabke (a dear friend. I love her.), editor Hilary Sares, editorial director Audrey LaFehr, Karen Kelley, Jan Kenny, Jami Alden, and more… Ugh. More. I’m so so sorry if I don’t mention you here. It’s not you, it’s me.
*8-2 AM Chillin’ in the bar — HelenKay and I accepted Kate Duffy’s offer for “a drink” and the next thing you know, we’re closing the bar. Seriously. What happened? We are all still wondering that to this day. Weird, weird stuff happened over the course of those Twilight Zone hours. We’ll be talking about that for years. Regardless, it’s always fun to spend time with Kate and this night was no exception. Our party expanded and dwindled and expanded and dwindled over the course of the night. Some of the fabu people who joined us — Karin Tabke, Hilary Sares, Eileen Dreyer, Allison Brennan (another friend I love), Jami Alden, Sybil Cook, one of the Smart Bitches, Monica McCarty, and more… Yes, more people that I can’t remember. And I was drinking WATER!
