We’re deep frying our first turkey today, so wish us luck!!
We also have a new family member, a sweet adorable caique parrot. I’ll post pics later. I have to start preparing food now. We’re having the basics: turkey, green bean casserole, sweet potato pie/casserole, candied yams, gravy, rolls… There’s more. My kitchen is full, but my brain is begging for coffee, which I haven’t had yet. *g*

It was delicious! I kinda expected it to have a nutty flavor because of the oil, which would have been good, too, but it didn’t. We’re planning on doing it again for Christmas. This year is our year to host Christmas dinner.

Glad it turned out great, Sylvia! We deep fried our first turkey about 9 or 10 years ago, and haven’t looked back since.
