After school today, the kids and I headed to Wal-Mart to get some Christmas shopping done. We were able to check 4 people off of our lists today, so that makes me happy (read: less stressed. *g*) My mom came over tonight and is staying the night, so tomorrow we’ll head out while the kids are gone and get some more stuff. I’m enjoying it so far. The last three years hubby had to do all the shopping. Who knew I’d miss it? LOL!
I also wrapped and wrote and whistled tunes to our new bird whenever I walked by her cage. I’m definitely feeling the holiday spirit this year.
How about you? Have you started shopping yet? Anyone brave the after-Thanksgiving sales and get a great deal?

I really wanted to change the bird’s name. (I like Margarita better, personally, and think it’s suits a pretty parrot.) But Stimpy is the name my SIL gave her (that’s who we got the bird from) so I think we might have to live with it.

Nope, haven’t started shopping yet. I’ve tried on-line, but it hasn’t worked out yet….
As for as who won the Dancing with the Stars contest, that guy just bugged me for some reason. I wish Mel or even Marie would have won before him… Oh well…….

Oh I hate shopping anyway, so there’s no way I’d go during Black Friday. I have a few things to get this this year, not a lot, so I’m happy about that.
I never leave the house on Black Friday ~~ I can’t handle the crowds.
I am pretty much done with my shopping. I need to pick up a gift card for my brother-in-law, but then I’m done. Now I have to wrap. That’s going to take forever.
