O happy day! It’s raining here.
I hope it rains all weekend. We need it desperately. Plus, finally, it doesn’t feel like summer. *g*
What’s the weather like where you’re at?
Yesterday my daughter came home from school early with a tummy ache, so shopping time was cut short, but I was still able to cross 3 more people off my list. We’re getting somewhere, at least. So far I’m happy with all the things I picked up. Sometimes I end up with presents that just barely past muster (read: isn’t as good as something else could have been.) Usually it’s because what I really liked was too expensive or I couldn’t find anything better. Not so, so far.
With the rain pouring outside, I think I might light the fireplace in the family room and wrap gifts all day. I love seeing all the presents under the tree.

YEAH, Syl, glad to hear you guys are finally getting some rain!! Hope the rain Gods smile on you for some time. I have a little of my Christmas shopping done, so that’s what I’ll try to be doing next week while I’m off work…and this weekend I am putting up our trees!! The yard is all decorated and looks very Clark Grizzwaldish, lol, so I can’t wait to get started on the inside!
by Melissa November 30th, 2007 at 12:21 pmThe problem is that rain is so infrequent here (I live close to Sylvia) that all I want to do is make a cup of tea and curl up on the couch in a blanket. In fact…
by HelenKay November 30th, 2007 at 12:43 pmNo doubt. I’ve made two pots of coffee today. This weather makes you want to wear your jammies and watch great movies all day.
I went to pick up my kids from school and some of our sidewalks are under water. Yikes!
by SylviaWow, we could really use that rain here.
by Jennifer Y. November 30th, 2007 at 6:12 pmI’ll take rain over snow anyday! It’s currently 26 degrees. I need to move.
Glad you’re getting some much needed rain. Hope that ends all those fires you’ve been having in CA.
by Stacy ~ December 1st, 2007 at 9:39 amWe could really use the rain here in Georgia. Glad to hear that someone is getting much needed rain!
by Andrea December 1st, 2007 at 11:46 amI love rainey days where you can sit by the fire. Granted we have seen very little rain this year . I’ve found my best gift I purchase are the first ones if i start shopping to early i end up buying things i have to return later and i hate returning any thing. My oldest daughter only wanted clothes she’s 14 but i snuck some other things in there. My youngest she’s 11 wants the Webkins. My gift is to enjoy each other and to shop for my 2 girls!!
