My husband gave me a beautiful, small emerald necklace, the first x-mas after we were married, 30 years ago. We didn't have a lot of money, we were paying off school loans etc. This past summer my 24 yo daughter wore it for her wedding ..."something borrowed". I really treasure that necklace.

Mine are the gifts over the years from my nieces and nephews, the first they made in school - I have clay ashtrays, picture frames, sand bottles and other decorated bottles and trivets. Still use them and they came out pretty good, budding artists, lol, inherited from my mother and aunts I guess (that gene pretty much skipped my generation).
