We try (but don't usually succeed) to wait until midnight and let the kids open up all their gifts from the family. On CHristmas Day all of us girls gets up early and go to mom's to help with Christmas dinner. It's actuall the only time we all get together like this and I love it. For the past 7 years my nephew and his wife have had a party on Christmas eve. After opening gifts we then have a brunch on Christmas day for a few relatives on my husband's side. Then it was always Christmas Day at my mom's but in the last few years it's moved to my niece's house (she has 7 kids and a large house lol).
