The Stranger I Married

Here’s the next backlist giveaway book. Just comment, if you’d like a copy! (I need to round up my two monsters kids and have them pick a winner for BBA. I’ll do that after they get back from school today. )

The Stranger I MarriedLady Pelham could not have designed a husband more suited to her needs. The Marquess of Grayson is a dear and enchanting friend and an unrepentant ladies’ man. Their union is solid; their hearts safe from one another. But every marriage has its surprises…

THEY WERE TOGETHER FOR ALL THE WRONG REASONS…

They are London’s most scandalous couple. Isabel, Lady Pelham, and Gerard Faulkner, Marquess of Grayson, are well matched in all things–their lusty appetites, constant paramours, wicked wits, provocative reputations, and their absolute refusal ever to ruin their marriage of convenience by falling in love with one another. Isabel knows such a charming rake will never appeal to her guarded heart, nor will she sway his philandering one. It is a most agreeable sham…until a shocking turn of events sends Gerard from her side.

Now, four years later, Gerard has come home to Isabel. But the carefree, boyish rogue who left has been replaced by a brooding, powerful, irresistible man who is determined to seduce his way into her affections. Gone is the devil-may-care companion who shared her friendship and nothing more, and in his place is temptation itself…a husband who desires Isabel body and soul and who will stop at nothing to win her love. No, this is not at all the man she had married. But he is the man who might finally steal her heart…

WATCH the book video here: www.susankearney.com

Is she an indispensable ally. . . or his worst enemy?

When Intersolar Mining entrepreneur Derrek Archer rescues Azsla from her emergency sleeping pod, he’s confounded by his desire for her. An inexplicable desire. An irresistible desire that causes Derrek to wonder if he’s been drugged or hypnotized.

Is she better off with him . . . or without him?

Azsla’s attracted to the sexy asteroid miner, but she fears getting close to Derrek might compromise her mission and reveal her secret. A secret that she’s an enemy spy and her facade hides a complex and powerful woman—one capable of enslaving Derrek and destroying everything he holds dear.

Will Azsla’s devastating secret destroy them . . . or save them?

When a cataclysm of deadly proportions threatens Derrek’s world, they must overcome their distrust, suspicion and opposing loyalties. But while uniting forces might save a planet, working together might tear them apart or bring them together. Forever.

REVIEWS

Romantic Times 4 ½ Stars Top Pick “Susan Kearney writes futuristics as good as anyone in the business. Her world building is fantastic, but yet doesn’t overpower the characters or the inherent love story. Sparks fly off the pages of SOLAR HEAT, be careful you don’t get burned.”
– Cat Cody

Ahoy!

Hey All,

I’m going underground this week to finish up a project that’s taken me way longer than I expected it would. To keep things from totally stagnating here on the blog, though, I figured I’d give away some of my backlist books during some of the days of this week. (I’d say every day, but if I missed one, I’d feel bad. )

Today is BAD BOYS AHOY! day.

Bad Boys Ahoy!

RITA Finalist

Oh, those naughty rakes. With their wicked winks, sensual smiles, and bad boy habits, you just can’t take them out in polite society. But who wants to go out when you can stay in…?

STOLEN PLEASURES

Sebastian Blake, Earl of Merrick, long ago fled the responsibilities of his title to become the infamous pirate, Captain Phoenix. But the booty he’s just captured on a merchant ship is a fierce tempered minx who claims to be a bride…his bride, married to him by proxy on behest of their fathers. He could shame his hated family and return his beautiful wife untouched, but no treasure has ever proved more tempting to Sebastian, and making their marriage a true one–in every sense–is his one urgent desire …

LUCIEN’S GAMBLE

Lucien Remington’s reputation as a debauched libertine who plays by no one’s rules–in business or the bedroom–is well deserved. He gets what he wants, social repudiation be damned. But society can keep from him the one thing he truly desires, the untouchable Lady Julienne La Coeur. Until she sneaks into his club dressed as a man and searching for her irresponsible brother. Suddenly she’s in Lucien’s grasp, his to take, and his mind is filled with the most wickedly sinful thoughts. A gentleman would walk away from the temptation she presents. But then, Lucien has never claimed to be a gentleman…

HER MAD GRACE

Hugh La Coeur never wanted to be the Earl of Montrose. Wine, women, and a hefty wager are preferable to responsibility of any kind. It’s certainly preferable to spending the night in an eerie, neglected mansion owned by a legendary madwoman. The duchess’s companion, the fiercely independent Charlotte, is another matter altogether. Hugh would be happy to spend as many nights in her bed as possible. He knows she’s hiding terrible secrets, but for once in his life, Hugh has the desire to take on someone else’s burden as his own, no matter what the danger…

They’re mad, bad, and totally irresistible…

If you’d like to win a copy, just shout out in the comments. I’ll have my kids pick a winner.

Happy Monday!

Romantic Realm of Shadows

Romantic Realm of ShadowsJanuary 25th, 26th, and the 27th on The Romantic Realm of Shadows we’ll be chatting about this book And no doubt we’ll be giving away fun goodies during the chat! You don’t want to miss this!

I’ve blatantly copied the information about it from Sylvia Day’s Dream Guardians web site, but there’s more great information, including an excerpt from the book, on her sites.

HarperCollins Avon, Trade Paperback
ISBN-10: 0061231037
ISBN-13: 978-0061231032
Bad boys are her weakness and no one is as wicked as Connor Bruce…

He is the realization of every woman’s erotic fantasies. Existing in the Twilight between sleep and consciousness, Connor brings them decadent pleasures, fueled by their sexual energy. But violence and strife now tear apart both worlds, and Connor must embark on a perilous quest into the mortal realm … and into the arms of one intoxicating enchantress.

Stacey Daniels has always been attracted to the wrong type of men – and the muscular, Viking-like champion on her front doorstep is no exception. She can hardly believe the wounded warrior is from another world, a world where erotic dreams are needed to survive, a world of terrible danger that has followed him to her home. Connor finds solace in her passion, but only time will tell if he can defeat the dark foe who hunts them … and if Stacey can surrender to the promise he offers with every electrifying touch.

Yes, now you know you want it, so get to reading and we’ll see you at the end of the month in The Realm! It’s a fantastic book!!

Another person said: I’m reading Heat of the Night right now and WOW! It has me laughing out loud and staying up late to read more. I’m loving it.

Chance to Win Heat

If you’d like to win a copy of HEAT OF THE NIGHT, go here:
www.romrevtoday.blogspot.com

HEAT OF THE NIGHT is a richly woven delight. Connor is a man with no emotions or connections, making him a fierce warrior, until he meets Stacey. She makes him want things he has never dreamed of and becomes his sole vulnerability. Single mother Stacey has had a life filled with heartache and hardship. She doesn’t trust herself or her emotions when it comes to men. Their intimate encounters are filled with both heat and emotional depth. The suspense, action, and mysteries are intense and imaginative. Excellent pacing, writing, and characterization will have readers glued to the story. This second Dream Guardian book stands well on its own with plenty of background, but reading the first book will add insight. This book takes the series to a new level, earning it the La Grande Mort rating and builds high anticipation for the next tale. HEAT OF THE NIGHT is a very highly recommended book you won’t want to miss.”

What am I doing?

I’m writing and plotting and a bunch of other business stuff. I’m sorry to be so quiet.

My editor, Kate Duffy, has a blog up about the new Kindle device on the Brava Authors blog going up tomorrow (Thursday). You might want to check it out:
www.BravaAuthors.com/blog

I’ll try to get into more detail about what I’m up to in the morning. It’s early for me (9:15) but I’m tired and I think I’m going to bed now. It’s raining and that’s as good an excuse as any to curl up in bed. :)
