I’m finally reaching the point where I might be human again soon. (and blogging again)
It has been a crazy year so far. You know what happens when you have 6 books releasing in 5 months? Edits, copy edits, and galley read-throughs all come at once and need to be finished at once. I have never done this much work all at once in my entire career. (and sincerely hope I’ll never have to again. I love my job, but too much is too much)
- All three books in the Marked series are finally put to bed. The books were such fun to write and I loved them (so much so, that they’re the longest books I’ve ever written…), but I’ve been working on them non-stop for over a year now. That’s tough when none of the books have released yet. EVE OF DARKNESS was turned in to Tor last Feb, so I’ve been waiting forever for it to come out. Reviews are starting to come in for it, though, and so far so good! If you want to know more about that, just stop by the S.J. site and see. I’ve got links to the various reviews posted on several pages of the site. Also have a super awesome quote from the super awesome Patricia Briggs! I squealed and *happy danced* when she emailed about EVE OF DARKNESS.
- IN THE FLESH is also completely done. The next time I see it, it’ll be as the final book. I’m looking forward to that!
- Have you seen the GORGEOUS cover for PRIDE AND PASSION? Kensington seriously gives me the most rockin’ covers.
- I’ve received two packages of THE STRANGER I MARRIED coverflats and I love them so much. Again, Kensington really gave me something special.
I am majorly behind on my reading resolution. It’s nearly the end of February and I’ve yet to finish even one book!! *ugh* And I have a pile of books here to judge, so I must get cracking now that my head is sticking up out of the mountain of work.

Can’t wait to read all of these books!! Must catch up on my resolution, right…?

I am also delighted about the new books coming out. I have a hankering for a good book of yours and have already reread all the ones on my bookshelf.
I hear you on the TBR books piling up. I’m hoping to get caught up and start plowing through my very long list.
You sure have been busy, but I know all that hard work has, and will continue, to pay off. I can’t wait to read these stories!
