Once again Sylvia Day gives readers a book that encompasses all the passion, intrigue and endearing characters that we’ve come to expect in her storylines. I couldn’t help but feel an immediate attachment to Collin and Amelia and had my fingers crossed for a happily-ever-after for them. At the same time I really felt bad for the Earl of Ware. I loved getting the chance to revisit characters from ASK FOR IT and PASSION FOR THE GAME. Now I’ll be on the lookout for DON’T TEMPT ME which is due out in March 2008. Sylvia Day never fails to write stories that can transport me to into the characters lives for the extent of the tale and they often live on long after I’ve finished reading. If you haven’t picked up a Sylvia Day book yet then you’re missing out.

Day once again proves that she is the master of highly erotic stories that blend intricate plot, depth of character, and intrigue into one steamy, romantic story.
Although this story has a very different feel from Day’s other books, everything that makes a Day book wonderful is still here. Day is known for red hot love scenes that pack an emotional punch, as well as dark and dangerous characters with hidden depths. In A Passion For Him you will feel a difference in the way this story is told, but all the passion and heat are still here.
Our hero and heroine are not only continuing a love story arc from a previous book, but they are doing it as very young, often immature, characters. This does not in any way detract from the story, but as a fan of Day’s older damaged and dark characters it was fascinating to watch impetuous young characters find their way to each other without all the dark drama that is usually attached. The plot moves quickly and has dark elements to it, but this book is a bit lighter than the other books in the series without in any way being “fluffy.”
Bottom Line: Do yourself a favor and buy this book. Heck, buy them all - she’s that good.”

This is a terrific Georgian romance starring an interesting woman who has known much tragedy and loneliness in her life and the man who she loved with all her soul. Colin is a hero as he risked his life for her once before and willingly places himself in danger and risks his undercover espionage mission to keep his beloved safe. Readers will have a passion for Sylvia Day’s fine historicals.

I like this book on many different levels. Amelia is outspoken, and some might think perhaps a bit too forward for her time, but I liked that about her. The sex scenes were hot, and while Ms. Day employs a certain “c-word” a little too frequently for my usual taste, it fit these two characters. The fact that Colin kept his mask on whenever they interacted only added to the sensuality.
My interested only waned when the spy sub-plot took center stage. It needlessly distracted from Amelia and Colin’s love affair and I flipped the pages to get back to scenes involving the couple. This issue aside, I had a great time reading A Passion for Him and am avidly searching for Sylvia Day’s backlist. Grade: B

…its not easy to capture the gravitational pull between Amelia and Colin. I thought I might have a problem with the ease with which she left Lord Ware, but in the end, I think Amelia actually liked Lord Ware too much to string him along. There’s a French-spy/intrigue subplot that I could have done without, but that’s mainly because I just wanted the story to get back to Amelia and Colin.
This is the second book in what I guess is labeled the Passion series, and though I haven’t read the first book, I found this story line very easy to follow and it piqued my interest in the previous book, which was already high to begin with. Kudos to you for another great read. Grade: B+/A-
