Perfect Kisses - Reviews

The good news is that Sylvia Day hits a home run with her novella here and, as someone who retains my affection for those old footnote-laden romances by Susan Johnson, the author delivers a story that shows her to still be in good – if not outstanding – form. And a third story, by Noelle Mack, isn’t bad either.
Ms. Day does an excellent job of portraying two adult, mature characters who come to learn the truth about each other, while also facing the fact that their feelings will not be denied. This story is a winner on every level. Ms Day made me care about the characters and believe in the romance and for my money that’s just about all you can ask of a novella. Grade: A-

Spanning the early to mid-19th century, these three explicit stories from some of the more noted authors of erotic romance begin with “perfect kisses” and end, not unexpectedly, with something more. In Johnson’s School for Scandal, a protective, young school mistress targets a rake who intends to take advantage of her sister, but she ends up attracted instead. In Sylvia Day’s Mischief and the Marquess, the protagonists agree to thwart the matrimonial plans of their mothers—in very creative ways—and end up falling for each other. Finally, a cache of gems hidden in a corset is central in Noelle Mack’s lively The Ruby Kiss.

A coterie of writers joins forces to create a trilogy of lusty love stories that ignite more than your imagination. These tales of artful seduction all begin with the perfect kiss and then move to much, much more as three accomplished authors take you into the bedroom and sweep you into lively, enticing stories.
Love and laughter combine in Day’s sexy romp, “Mischief and the Marquess,” when two people try to prove their matchmaking mamas wrong.

The sexy mischief these two get up to is guaranteed to stimulate more than your imagination. With amusing antics, strong dynamic characters and sexual tension thick enough to walk on, Sylvia Day has a sure fire hit with this novella.

Recommended Read! Mischief and the Marquess is aptly titled. With strong, likable characters that are not afraid to explore the depths of their feelings, Sylvia Day creates a story that is as fun as it is hot. You’ll definitely want to read it again and again.
Perfect Kisses is a fantastic anthology which has stories that blend well. Susan Johnson, Sylvia Day and Noelle Mack are three authors that create characters you fall in love with, stories that flow and most definitely sex that sizzles!

I absolutely loved Mischief and the Marquess. Both Sophie and Justin were fun characters who made me laugh. They were perfect together and I loved watching them discover it. This story is a keeper to be reread again.
Perfect Kisses is a great anthology, featuring three very different historical stories that are sure to please readers of historical fiction. It is definitely a book for the keeper shelf.

Mischief and the Marquess, by Sylvia Day, was the reason I picked up PERFECT KISSES in the first place. I’ve loved everything I’ve read by her to date and Mischief didn’t disappoint. Day expertly crafted a tale that combined light-hearted romance with soul-stirring romance. Justin (the Marquess) and Sophie (the Mischief) were perfectly matched, and the secondary characters were also richly drawn. The only drawback to Mischief and the Marquess is that it wasn’t a full length novel—I wanted more of Justin, Sophie and the others.
