Bad boys and sensuality combine in a trio of delicious novellas by the up-and-coming Day. This intertwined triptych is a sensual feast. Day’s heroines glory in their femininity and natural desires, and the alpha heroes are ideal men for them. Readers will relish each tale with joy and extreme pleasure.
- Kathe Robin, RT BOOKClub
Three sexy rakes wreak havoc in the romantic lives of three Regency ladies in this loosely, yet cleverly, connected trio of novellas. Day provides plenty of richly detailed love scenes in each tale, and her wickedly entertaining combination of steamy sex and bold language is certain to be appreciated by readers who like hot historicals by Virginia Henley and Susan Johnson.

BAD BOYS AHOY! is a fantastic read. It grabs you at the first page and doesn’t let go until you’ve finished the final one. Sylvia Day’s writing allows you to witness every little detail of her stories. This one belongs on your keeper shelf.
- Nickie Langdon, Romance Junkies
Sylvia Day did a wonderful job expressing the emotions and feelings of the characters, especially the men. I felt the depth of their love and at times, the anguish for their women. Each woman in turn, is strong and beautiful. They are very well suited couples. Bad Boys Ahoy! is powerfully arousing and deeply emotional. I highly recommend it!
- Nannette, Joyfully Reviewed
Sylvia Day penned an anthology novel with three of the most virile and sexiest men that I have ever read about. All the men–Lucien, Sebastian and Hugh–possess a charm and sexual quality that equals the passions and desires of the heroines they have selected for themselves. If there is one book that you read this coming year, it should be Bad Boys Ahoy!.
- Laurel, Historical Society Reviews
BAD BOYS AHOY! it is, with this sexy, thrilling novel by Sylvia Day! It is actually three separate novellas all wrapped up in one book. The great thing about this book is that all three stories connect in some way. In the third one, all three couples come together to tie it up nicely and give the entire trilogy a great ending. BAD BOYS AHOY! is a collection of funny, charming, sexy, HOT novellas that will steam up the coldest day and make Sylvia Day a new must have for me!!
- Kristal Gorman, Romance Reader at Heart
Enter my favorite Bad Boy anthology to date, “Bad Boys Ahoy,” Sylvia Day’s new romantic celebration of love, overbearing guys, and great sex. Sylvia Day is a terrific writer, one of few who understand the fine art of crafting top-shelf romantic erotica. BAD BOYS AHOY! is awesome. It’s wonderful and passionate and, oh yeah, really hot.
- Michelle Buonfiglio, WNBC.com Romance: B(u)y the Book
This historical Regency set book in the Brava Bad Boys anthology series is truly scorching and the first one to be a non-contemporary. Stolen Pleasures combines two delicious main characters, intrigue, drama on the high seas with plenty of spice, adventure and some truly scorching love scenes to stimulate your senses. You can’t go wrong with this fast paced plot, one not quite damsel-in-distress, a super-sexy hero, and some combustible love scenes that will melt the panties right off your body and keep your mind engaged till the last page. I thoroughly recommend this fresh take on the pirate lord theme.
Blatantly erotic, rich in emotional growth and with enough detail to know Ms. Day has done her homework of the Regency period, Lucien’s Gamble is a book that deserves much praise for its excellent writing. Lucien’s Gamble is a keeper and a winner all round. I highly recommend this passionately erotic tale of romance, which is the reason I believe it deserves the Gold Star Award.
Hugh is first introduced to readers in Lucien’s Gamble, and as a person you can see his development and the positive influence Charlotte has on him. An attractive and very randy young rascal, Hugh’s finer points are highlighted in this story and make him an appealing leading man. He’s instantly attracted to Charlotte, a woman of the world, and he launches into a seduction of her senses that is combustible throughout this story. When these two make love the sparks fairly fly off the pages. It’s gratifying to see Hugh emerge a victor in this story and develop into such an appealing character. This story brings together all the main characters from the three stories in this anthology and nicely wraps it all up into one satisfying read.
- Aggie Tsirikas, Just Erotic Romance Reviews
I adore these stories. Not only do they read smooth, they are well paced, and each story wonderfully created to keep the readers attention. Each character was perfectly matched to their mate. The characters are three-dimensional and the story involving. Once you sit down, make sure you have time to read all three at once, for you won’t want to put it down until finished. From hot passion to willing seduction, all three stories are gripping and engage the senses from page one. If you want a fast paced story and a chance to fall in love with some hunky hero’s, read about three men who know what they want and weren’t afraid to risk it all for a chance at happiness.
- Stacey Brutger, The Road to Romance
I can’t say enough positive things about Bad Boys Ahoy! The characters are unique and you come to care about each one. In addition, Day writes lush and unforgettable love scenes that move the story along and keep the reader engaged. Bad Boys Ahoy! introduces Sylvia Day as a vibrant new voice in historical romance.

Sylvia Day shares her incredible writing talents with readers in this historical anthology. Her characters are excellently written, blatantly erotic with rich, sensuous detail. I was reminded of the writings of Nicole Jordan while reading this collection of scorching tales, and I can easily give a high recommendation to all lovers of erotic historical romance.
- Laurie Damron, Sensual Romance Reviews
Three historical tales that intrigue the reader and stimulate the senses, this book will certainly be a keeper and wonderful addition to any reader’s collection. All the stories are full of adventure and action, with enough passion to keep any reader turning the pages. The heroes are strong and determined to get their women, while the heroines are fiery and full of spunk. Sylvia Day has created three enchanting tales that readers won’t soon forget and will come back to read again and again.
- Angel, The Romance Studio
Talented Sylvia Day has written an anthology of stories about bad boys that we can’t help but love in BAD BOYS AHOY! Oh My! BAD BOYS AHOY! By Sylvia Day is one sizzling hot book filled with outrageously wicked men that will melt your heart and leave you squirming. To tame these bad boys are exquisitely independent women that know what they want and definitely aren’t too shy to get it. The varied story lines, from a dashing pirate and his virginal bride to the debonair gambler and his feisty courtesan, will keep you reading and thoroughly entertained and feeling a little wanton yourself!
- Donna Zapf, SingleTitles.com
Hot, Sexy and just downright HOT. If you like spice and steam between the pages of your novels with searing hot love scenes then this will be the book for you in Feb 2006.
- Laurel, The Mystic Castle
...Sylvia Day manages to introduce the [Bad Boys] series to an historical period, turn up the steam, all the while offering the reader actual character growth. …each story has a strong point. …they are all overall good stories. Bad Boys Ahoy! show us Sylvia Day has talent and is a writer to watch.
- Sybil, All About Romance
All three stories have strong female characters who are teamed up with bad boy men who have family problems and are awaiting the right woman to heal their wounds and teach them to grow and love. The love scenes are all explicit without being too flowery, or too medical–a gift that sets a good Romantica author apart from the pack. The stories are fairly historically accurate and very romantic which will keep Regency fans happy, and hot enough to keep erotica fans in the mood. However, my favorite part of this novel was how it mixed humor with passionate and fast character growth. Often in short stories a lot of exposition is written in. Not so with this novel. All the important details are slowly revealed through the action of the stories leaving a bit of mystery to all the characters until the final pages of the story.
Bottom Line: Don’t judge this book by its name or cover because the only person who won’t enjoy this book are those who don’t like their sex hot!
- Cybil Solyn, Rakehell
With her book Bad Boys Ahoy! Sylvia Day has brought together a collection of undeniably sexy stories into one totally readable historical anthology. Bad Boys Ahoy! deserves a spot on anyone’s bookshelves.
- Laura F., We Write Romance
Sylvia Day presents three very erotic stories, which are loosely connected with one another before the background of the Regency time period. There are also touches of humor. …the gentlemen are extremely male, the ladies very passionate… A beautiful excursion into the hotter side of romance.
- LoveLetter Magazine (German)
The three stories in this book intertwine to give you a vivid glimpse into the lives of the characters involved. I have read this book twice, and if you could see my TBR pile you’d know that meant something great. Highly recommended to those who love pirates and/or Regency erotica.
- Megan, bookseller/Rosemary’s Romance Books
BAD BOYS AHOY! contains three wonderful historical novellas starring strong females ready to battle against and on the side of the bad boys they love. This is a fine “Bad Boys” entry.
- Midwest Book Review
I enjoyed Bad Boys Ahoy! tremendously… Ms. Day had some fascinating characters – her heroes were all wounded to some degree, yet extremely Alpha and her heroines knew just how to please their men! She managed to work in some twists and turns that I didn’t see coming and I love being surprised by a book! I’ll surely look for this author’s work in the future. Congrats, Ms. Day!!!
- Pam L., A Romance Review
BAD BOYS AHOY! is a winner!! It has three entertaining stories that will set the reader’s blood pressure higher. The stories were well written and moved at a quick pace. This is the reader’s first Sylvia Day book and it definitely won’t be the last!
