How Paranormal Lends Itself Well to Every Genre
* Anything is possible with the proper explanation and motivation.
* Set up rules for your world and follow them without deviation.
* Look at the rules other authors have written…and break them. The success of the genre relies on our ability to write something fresh and new.
* The strength in a paranormal story is not in the paranormal elements, but in how those elements affect the protagonists.
* Explain. Readers want to know why something works the way it does.
* Don’t use a paranormal element as the “easy way out” of a conflict. There still has to be conflict. Even better, have the paranormal elements add to the conflict.
