Romance Writer’s Weblog Ring

Requirements

  1. You must be writer who maintains a blog/journal, preferably writing in the romance genre but if your work contains reasonably prominent elements of romance that would be acceptable.
  2. Do not alter the ring code. You may change the font, but be certain the basic code remains intact. (Not that I’m especially attached to this code. I did not design it, it is the universally accepted design for blog rings.) Surfers will expect to find the same code on all the ring member blogs so they can surf easily.
  3. The ring code must be on your site within one week of submitting to the ring. If the autochecker doesn’t pick up the code, I will make every attempt to discover why and work with you to get the code placed correctly, but your site will remain in the queue until the code can be validated.
  4. The HTML code must be on your actual weblog page, not a webrings page. Surfers will be expecting a blog, not your home page. The code is small, unobtrusive, and may be sized to fit in your sidebar:
  5. «?Writer Blogs#»

  6. Your blog must deal in some way with writing, blogs having nothing to do with writing or the writer’s life will not be accepted. Your blog does not need to be purely about writing, but it should be fairly obvious to the surfer that you are a writer.
  7. If you have to move your blog contact me or change your information at Ringsurf.
  8. If you e-mail me, please include your name, the name of your blog, and your Ring ID#.
  9. Use an e-mail address that you check regularly.
  10. If you have questions or circumstances that require an exception to any of the above requirements contact me. I’ll attempt to be flexible as long as it doesn’t affect the other members of the ring.
  11. I did not invent these requirements from scratch, but used a sampling from other blog rings to compile the RWBlogs requirements.

Welcome to the ring!
