Too Far will release on October 24, 2023 in the United States and October 26, 2023 in the rest of the world.
Sylvia answers several questions about the Blacklist duology in her Questions & Answers Blacklist Author Note #2, part of her collection of posts leading up to the release of So Close. Just one click/tap to all these questions, too:
–> Did the story change from what you first envisioned?
–> Witte’s POV seems to have unusual spellings, punctuation, and word choices. Why?
–> I hate snakes! How do I get around having a snake on the cover?!
Also in Blacklist Author Note #2: Answers about timing:
–> What took so long?
Sylvia talks about this and more in her author notes.
Depending on where you are in the world, So Close and Too Far have either hardback or paperback first editions.
In the US and UK, the Blacklist Duology is a hardback first edition. This means the paperback is available after a delay. Everywhere else in the world, Blacklist is a paperback first edition and there is no option to purchase the hardback. Canadians have a choice of either format with no delay in between.
For readers in the US and UK, So Close will be reissued in paperback in October 2023, on the same date as the hardback first edition of Too Far. Too Far will then be reissued in paperback nine months after the hardback. The industry-standard delay between hardcover and paperback formats is one year, so we’ve closed that gap a bit for you!
If you want all the options, including choosing a different cover, I recommend the Book Depository, which has all editions and formats available and offers free shipping to most places in the world!
So Close released on March 28, 2023 in the United States and March 30, 2023 in the rest of the world. The second book in the duology, Too Far, releases in October 2023.

So Close and Too Far have both been licensed for translation in all the languages listed below. New languages will be added here as the information is confirmed.
If your preferred language isn’t listed here, the Blacklist Duology has not yet been licensed for translation. That doesn’t mean it won’t someday become available, just that publishing worldwide is facing many challenges and some things just take longer nowadays. Thank you for your patience.
