Will there be a Crossfire motion picture or television series?

Legacy News:
- In 2013, Crossfire was optioned by Lionsgate for development as a television series and the studio extended the option twice. After three years of development, the studio was unable to find a screenwriter. Sylvia declined further renewals.
- In 2019, Crossfire was optioned by a second studio for development as a television series, along with Butterfly in Frost. After two years of development, the studio was unable to find the right screenwriter. The option expired and rights reverted to Sylvia.
- In 2022, Crossfire was optioned by a third studio for development as a television series, along with Butterfly in Frost. After two years of development, the script presented to Sylvia followed characters and storylines that were unrecognizable and unrelated to the books. Sylvia objected and regained the rights.
